Tip Tuesday: Save Your Parmesan Rind

Being Italian, parmesan is a staple in my household. There is nothing better than grating the salty cheese over a pasta dish or having shards of fresh parm in your caesar salad. Mmmm.

Here is a tip for anyone who uses real parm like the picture above: save the rind. That hard part at the end that people always discard…DON’T!! Keep it in your fridge/freezer and add it into the next tomato sauce you make (or soup.)It will just melt into the sauce and give your dish an unbelievable taste. People will die over it and will ask what makes it so good?! They won’t be able to pin point the exact flavor they’re tasting- keep it a secret! Enjoy!
