2013 Country Music Awards: Worst Dressed

I was surprised at how many outfits made my worst dressed list this year for the CMA’s. Unfortunately these stars didn’t make the best dressed cut:

Shawna Thompson: Shawna from Thompson Square’s gown failed her. There was too much fabric, too many directions for the fabric to be going and it just looked messy and a little semi-formal to me.

Kimberly Schlapman: I actually like this dress, I just don’t like it on Kimberly. With having such voluminous, curly hair she should have worn a form fitting gown. This puffy gown just doesn’t compliment her.

Colbie Caillat: There is only one color tone in this entire look. From her hair to her skin to her dress and shoes- just too much tan. I also think this dress is a little too much of a party dress rather than an event dress.

Aubrey Peeples: Aubrey looks messy and childish in this outfit. She could have worn that skirt with a great top and statement necklace and looked amazing.

Chaly Rose: Wrong, wrong, wrong. This is the CMA’s not the VMA’s. This dress was too hip hop and too trashy for my liking. It did not fit the scene at all.

Brett Eldredge: This is a little wedding singer for me. Brett is so good looking I wish he would have gone for more of a classic country cool look. Plus, this jacket didn’t fit him well.

Cassadee Pope: I just don’t like this look. I don’t mind the dress, although I don’t think it is right for this event. Cassadee’s hair is what is driving me nuts! Not blended at all, horrible.

Connie Britton: This dress could have improved in two ways. A) Taken the neck piece off and just had it be a long, sweetheart black gown. Or B) take away the sparkle and leave the rest as is and it would have looked great. That random patch of sparkle is what kills this dress.

Jennifer Nettles: There are probably going to be a lot of disagreements with me on this dress, but that is OK! I love the beginning of this dress, but the complete change in color and fabric makes it look unfinished and cut off.

Tyler Farr: Wowza. Too much going on there Ty.
